Don’t miss the Center for Community Counseling’s Fifth Annual Comedy for a Cause, this evening, Saturday, April 22. Laugh out loud AND to help bolster one of our community’s most valuable and respected non-profit agencies. Once again, the show will be held at the wonderful Wildish Theater in Springfield, OR. Tickets $25, 7pm, www.wildishtheater.com.
You know the old adage about the pebble falling into the water and the ripple that affects the whole pond? That’s the ripple effect on which the Center for Community Counseling bases its entire mission. For more than thirty years, volunteer counselors of the CCC have personified this belief, that if one person’s life is improved, then all the people around are positively affected, making the world a better place.
The goal of the CCC is to make therapy accessible and affordable for those who have no other means of getting support. The positive impact the ripple effect can have on partners, spouses, children, and co-workers is truly life changing.
I spent six years on the board of the CCC and was amazed by the selfless and wonderful local counselors and psychologists who donate their time and energy providing counseling services. The service they provide changes people’s lives in profound and meaningful ways. From the new parents trying to manage life with New Baby to the adult child of an alcoholic facing his or her own life challenges to every situation you can think of, the CCC is there for those who want to make a change in their lives, and know that change must start from within.
Join us in laughter tonight at the Wildish Theater! Doors open at 6:15pm, Show at 7pm.
